Following on from the last minute NYE cancellation of James Zabiela we are throwing 2 free entry parties over the next 2 months. First up is Sat Jan 23rd where Musika residents and local guests host the show @ Cabaret Voltaire. The party is free to all b4 midnight and with ridiculous drink promotions arranged it’s exactly what you need for the January blues.

Second up features the rescheduled event for James Zabiela. This shall take place provisionally on Friday Feb 19th @ Cabaret Voltaire. Free tickets for this event are available to all ticket holders from NYE, final details shall be released asap with how to get your tickets.

On Saturday 13 February, MUSIKA celebrates three years of hosting large-scale events in Edinburgh by staging its biggest and best line-up yet.

Heading the stellar cast will be JOHN DIGWEED, who will make the trip north for his first Edinburgh weekend performance in over 10 years. He will be joined by German superstar TIMO MAAS, and completing the array will be the rapidly-rising TIM GREEN, aka TG.

MUSIKA is also excited to announce a collaboration with one of the UK’s most respected club nights, SUGARBEAT. This will see Sugarbeat hosting Room 2 at the venue, and their three massive guests will add a whole new dimension to the event. Headliners HOT CHIP will provide one of their acclaimed DJ sets, together with sets from in-demand electro kid BOY 8 BIT plus world-famous Sugarbeat residents UTAH SAINTS.

To host this party, the Edinburgh Corn Exchange will undergo a major transformation, resulting in a custom-designed, 2000-capacity, two-room space – the perfect setting for such a prestigious, large-scale event. This will be the first full-blown club night to take place at Edinburgh’s largest music venue in more than a decade.

After a year that has seen the likes of Luciano, Felix Da Housecat, Groove Armada, M.A.N.D.Y play Musika, we are delighted to announce Musika have been asked to host The Official After Party of the Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations.

In association with Musika, Mylo will perform as part of the city’s outdoor Hogmanay program before heading to our official after party at the 1500 capacity HMV Picture House.

Mylo once described as “The saviour of dance music” by NME returns to Edinburgh after several years. After being locked away in the studio working on his eagerly anticipated 2nd artist album set to drop in 2010, his performances have been rare and carefully selected only for the world’s coolest festivals and events.

Joining Mylo, shall see James Zabiela, who needs no introduction as one of the world’s most prolific DJs and producers. Watching him perform enforces the fact that DJ’ing is a performance art as much as it is being the purveyor of great musical sequences, so it is no surprise last year he was voted in the top 20 of the world famous DJ Mag Top 100.

With these 2 heavyweights on the bill together alongside rising star Tom Budden and am impressive local lineup this is most definitely THE big club event in the capital you need be at…
